3D mark making
Today we did 3D mark making which involved the activities of using wire with selctape, clay and plaster Paris. The wire activity wasn't that hard to do because I'm used to doing it at home, but it's always tricky to make the shape you want, but in the end I worked it out to be more 3D by adding selctape to it, creating the shape of what the torso would look like. When I used the clay to make a 3D sculpture, I struggled a lot with it because its just not my type of thing, so by working with clay, it really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I gradually started to like it because at first I was constantly taking bits off and smoothing things down, but once miss told me how to add things on I became more aware and became more comfortable with the clay and I actually liked my outcome because I didn't at first. After that I used the plaster Paris with the clay. At first I had to flatten some clay and both carve in and make a print with different objects. It was tricky because I thought I had it in the bag, but I didn't do so well I thought. For our homework task we had to carve in the plaster Paris and I made a smokey cloud with a face on it because I went out with my friends to go and do Shisha.
